A full bodied parakeet barked
Making cheese from milk and water? Raising chickens, goats and turkeys? Wildly running around trying to satisfy all the animals, plus grow lots of fruits and vegetables? It’s all in a day’s work for Anna and her grandfather.
Farm Mania is a casual game produced by Realore Studios. You start with growing plants and raising animals, and it turns into a quickly spiralling, nearly out of control farm.
Farm Mania features:
•2 FarmMania game modes: casual and arcade
•12 different buildings
•60 different levels of Farm Mania to complete
•Numerous funny mini games
This game has been one of the better casual games featuring a farm in a while. The combination of animals and produces makes it more appealing than games that just grow flowers or produce.
The game gets more intense as you move along. There are also scenes where you have to find the hidden object, usually a chicken or a sheep. These are tough but are a nice break in between running the farm.
Cute graphics, great story line and the gradual intensity of the gameplay makes this an excellent choice for fans of farming games. If you liked Alice Greenfingers or Farm Craft, this is a must for your game collection.
What people are saying:
“Great game! Cute and fun! Getting good on timed games got hard towards the end! Untimed was fun though! Nice music too! Hope a new one comes out soon!”
“I think I’m addicted. I did find a little snag in the game, though. If you click on the energy drink and then click your right mouse button, Anna will have energy throughout the level!”
Tips for Farm Mania and getting through all levels:
Order Farm Mania from the creator’s website, or visit Shockwave.com, where you can get all the games you want to play for a low monthly fee.
Hello everyone!
Sorry for taking so long to approve comments.
I did get all of them and I am overwhelmed!
Thank you again. So many of you got the right answer, too. The answer is China. Did you know that China wasn’t even the country that invented the fortune cookie? Apparently it came from Japan!
And the winner is: Joanne Schultz!
Poster number 74.
Congratulations and I’ll be emailing you for your address so you can get the prize pack.
Thank you so much everyone for participating. I’m hoping to have yet another contest on here very soon. I’ll be having more content on here later as well. Keep checking back.
To sort of start things off, Wanchai Ferry, maker of delicious frozen entrees, along with MyBlogSpark sent me a prize pack, and I’m letting you all in on the fun.

Wanchai Ferry
I got a free coupon along with the prize pack you see below. The coupon gives let me try my choice in their variety of entrees for free. I got to choose from Orange Chicken, Shrimp Lo Mein, Spicy Garlic Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Sweet & Spicy Shrimp. I picked out Sweet & Sour Chicken.
I must tell you, I had some reservations about trying this. I have yet to come across even a likable frozen or boxed Chinese food that tasted like from the restaurants. I was very skeptical about this entirely. The peppers turn out bitter, the veggies will be tasteless and the sauces… don’t get me started on those.
When I tried Wanchai Ferry, it was completely different.
I found the cooking process was rather simple, and I can tell the difference from other boxed or frozen foods when you follow these instructions. The rice when finished tasted as if I had done it from scratch. The sweet and sour sauce was sweet how I like it to be. The vegetables tasted good. The peppers were sweet and no trace of bitterness. Even the frozen pineapple pieces were tasty. As usual, you kind of wish they had added more chicken pieces, but all in all, I like it and I’d buy it again when I have a craving for sweet and sour chicken.
Now it’s your turn.
MyBlogSpark is letting me give away a prize pack. You’ll get the following:

Wanchai Dinner Set
Contest ends Friday, August 21st, 2009.
There is a trick to this one, though. You’ll have to answer a small puzzle. (Welcome to Lillian’s Library! Home of puzzles!
)
Anyone who answers the question with the right ‘keyword’ will be eligible for the random drawing. If one person guesses the answer, he or she gets the prize. If no one guesses it, everyone leaving a comment gets to be in the random drawing and the answer will be revealed with the winner. Anyone within the US may enter.
Here’s the puzzle. You simply figure out the puzzle to get the right word and then post it in your comment.
We’ll keep it simple this time:
You’ll find many fortune cookies within Chinese restaurants all over the globe. Where is the one country where you won’t find fortune cookies within Chinese restaurants?
By the way, for a little bit of fun, if you’d like to leave a comment, maybe you can tell me the funniest or most strange fortune cookie message you’ve ever gotten.
Don’t forget to tell me how to contact you!
As a bonus, here’s a free coupon from Wanchai Ferry for all participants who wish to try Wanchai Ferry. It’s good for $1.50 off a package. You can also see menu tips at the website as well.
Good luck everyone!
In anticipation of additional movies, it appears fans couldn’t wait on Hollywood. For a budget of $5,000 and all volunteer actors and so forth, I think they did a splendid job.
Review it for yourself. What do you think? The Hunt for Gollum. Enjoy!
By the way, I love seeing things like this. Don’t you?
We’re big fans of Nancy Drew. Who doesn’t love a good mystery game? Nancy delivers mysterious puzzles and great story lines, along with friendly, helpful characters along the way. I’ve played several. I will keep playing the games. Ralph gives them five croaks.
The best way to play Nancy Drew games, I’ve found, is to sign up for Shockwave.com. They have five or so of Nancy’s games now. You can find more at HerInteractive.
If you need help solving the puzzles, feel free to leave a note here, or to check out HerInteractive’s website forum. There’s loads of help there. I find myself using the forums on occasion when I can’t find an object, or I become lost in my objective and need a reminder.
Now off the shelf: Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott
“Christmas won’t be Christmas without any presents,” grumbled
Jo, lying on the rug.
“It’s so dreadful to be poor!” sighed Meg, looking down at
her old dress.
“I don’t think it’s fair for some girls to have plenty of
pretty things, and other girls nothing at all,” added little Amy,
with an injured sniff.
“We’ve got Father and Mother, and each other,” said Beth
contentedly from her corner.
You can download the book via the Gutenburg Project here.
Audible has an excellent version of Little Women, read by Connie Booth.
You can get a copy of Little Women to add to your collection via the links below.
We’re all too excited about this movie coming out soon! Sherlock Holmes is one of the best classic mystery heros of all time. If you loved the books, this new movie should be great. It looks great.
My only issue is, that it is months away from December still. Other movies coming out this summer though. Harry Potter is coming soon. Certainly looking forward to that one as well.
